3 October 2025
On 2nd October, OSCAR Foundation marked Gandhi Jayanti with a vibrant community event that brought together 85 children from the Ambedkar Nagar community. The day was filled with energy, awareness, and a shared sense of responsibility.
The programme began with a spirited cleanliness rally, as children marched from Ambedkar Nagar to Murti Nagar, chanting slogans of cleanliness and inspiring residents along the way. Their enthusiasm lit up the streets, sending out a strong message about keeping our surroundings clean and healthy.
Following the rally, the children took to the stage with a powerful drama on the theme “Say No to Drugs”. Through their heartfelt performance, they highlighted the dangers of drug addiction, how it harms young people’s health and disrupts their education, and emphasised the importance of guiding children toward positive choices and brighter futures.
To conclude the event, OSCAR Foundation recognised and appreciated the invaluable work of the community’s cleaning staff, presenting them with certificates of gratitude for their dedication.
This day was more than just a celebration. It was a reminder that change begins with awareness, responsibility, and collective action. The children of Ambedkar Nagar showed us that when young voices come together, they can inspire entire communities to take a stand for a healthier, safer tomorrow.
