OSCAR believes that the core values inherent in football are principles necessary for community development. Through a ‘No School, No Football’ policy, OSCAR Foundation provides football and life skills sessions to children from underserved communities encouraging consistent school attendance. Our in-house curriculum delivered by AIFF ACCREDITED licensed coaches imparts socio-emotional learning, value education and physical activity.
The Young Leader programme is the cornerstone of our organisation’s dedication to creating educational opportunities for our communities, utilising football as a catalyst for growth. This programme is a key ‘football for development’ initiative that is the foundation for the sustainability of our organisation. Youth from underserved communities, including previous OSCAR participants are identified and trained to work with our children. Since 2010, 1000+ young leaders have been trained under this initiative across India.
Our flagship ‘Kick Like a Girl’ training is a powerful program designed to empower girls to challenge societal norms as well as educate them about their capabilities and their right to freedom. Our female Young Leaders, inspired and equipped with this training, bring these lessons to life on the field using a gender-focused life skills curriculum to nurture confidence and strength in the girls they coach.
OSCAR aims to build a community of role models who inspire those around them.

Our Community Learning Centres are a safe space for children and youth where they can interact, learn and grow. In these centers, we provide opportunities to develop essential skills, with a strong focus on digital literacy. This programme is dedicated to bridging the digital divide by providing children living in underserved communities access to computers and technology. Through our courses, which cater to various age groups and include certification by the National Institute for Information Technology, we empower these young minds with the tools they need to succeed in today’s digital world. Our CLCs provide children with the opportunity to succeed in a connected world.
