Today, through our Enabling Change Programme, we took a significant step toward breaking barriers for children with hearing impairments. We provided hearing aids to eight children from low-income communities, allowing them to experience sound, some for the very first time.
For these children, hearing has always been a challenge, making communication and learning difficult. But today marked a turning point. With their new hearing aids, they can now hear their parents’ voices, engage with their surroundings and begin developing speech, opening the door of possibilities.
A particularly touching moment was when our ASHA (Hope in English) project sponsors, the Dhillon family witnessed the children’s first reactions to sound. The smiles, wide eyes and sheer joy on their faces were unforgettable. For some, it was the first time they heard their own names being called. Moments like these remind us why this work is so important.
None of this would have been possible without the generosity of our supporters. Your contributions are not just providing hearing aids; they are giving children the ability and hope to communicate, learn and build a brighter future.
But our work doesn’t stop here. There are still many children waiting for this life-changing support. We are committed to reaching more families, ensuring that every child, regardless of their circumstances, has the opportunity to hear, learn and thrive.
Together, we are creating a world where disability does not define a child’s future.
